Leveraging Diversity Schemes to Enhance Image Data Transmission in SIMO-VLC Networks
Visible Light Communication (VLC) is a state-of- the-art wireless communication technique that transmits data using the spectrum of visible lights. This technology offers a unique combination of benefits, including higher bandwidth, enhanced security, energy efficiency, and the potential for integration with existing lighting infrastructure. This work provides a communication system for image data transmission between end users using on on-off keying (OOK) modulation. The proposed system significantly reduces the likelihood of errors in the transmission of image data by employing spatial diversity techniques. A comparative analysis is performed on image data transmission over SIMO-VLC system utilizing OOK modulation and spatial diversity techniques, based on several performance metrics.
