Estimation of the Channel Matrix and Capacity of Cooperative MIMO Systems in A Multipath Communication Channel

This paper considers the application of cooperative MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) techniques for local sensors with three-dimensional distribution and system efficiency in the presence of scatterers around the communication system. A geometric three-dimensional model of the MIMO channel is developed, where the scatterers are located both on the surface and inside the sphere. The wireless sensors form spatial antenna configurations which are investigated in different topologies. The channel matrix has been evaluated and capacity dependencies on various parameters of the communication system have been obtained. The results of the analysis of the dependence of ergodic capacity of the MIMO system on the distance between the sensor elements allow to optimize the structure of the system in different conditions of scatterers distribution.
