An inset-fed Patch Antenna with Corner Slots Designed for WLAN
The patch antenna with a slotted corner has a simple design and can be integrated into the printed circuit of the communication system. The design incorporates an inset feed with slots positioned at the top-left and top-right corners of the patch to enhance frequency response. Designed for WLAN applications, the antenna is implemented on a PCB with a dielectric constant of ε<inf xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">r</inf> = 4.7 and 1.6 mm of thickness. The voltage standing wave ratio is close to 1, and the return loss is less than -10 dB, providing a bandwidth of 130 MHz.
