Smart Crosswalk Module Design by Perspective Transformations with an Engineering Approach
This paper propose an innovation design of the smart crosswalk or zebra crossing module that was based on geometric transformations method and an automatic system control. Meanwhile the aim of this research expect to develop the overall of an automatic crosswalk on the road paradigm shift with an engineering design methods according with the digital transformation platform to enhance of crosswalk operations requirements meet the need of approaching smart city policy of Thailand 4.0. The geometric transformation can specify object modelling operations both for local coordinate system such as modeling coordinates in this paper and a global coordinate system as a worldwide coordinates in the transportation. The cloud communicating technology will enhance the computing resources of programmable logic controller (PLC) with a long distance remote control and served them as a service on demand with highly dynamic and flexible transportation system that can be considered as a promising solution with Service Level Agreement (SLA) as fidelity with less waiting time. Meanwhile the fuzzy logic control (FLC) was modified based-on fuzzy ladder control scheme for enhancing the utility and capability of the ordinary PLC system such as dynamic loading effect management. For using clean energy or renewable energy, the photovoltaic (PV) solar panel was used for supplying the electricity of light emitting diodes (LEDs) in standby mode. The simulations results were several tested with the modelling design methodology, while the real prototype module was also several tested in the laboratory room that should be satisfied with design concept. The overall performance criteria will be adjusted again until suitable to use in practical usage and stable.
