Analysis of a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic/Wind Hybrid Power System's Performance
In order to achieve this goal, we describe, design, and implement a grid-connected photovoltaic/wind hybrid power system using a Fractional Order Proportional Integral Derivative (FOPID) controller. Connecting a hybrid system to the building's primary AC-bus improves the efficiency of the system. When a hybrid power system is in operation, Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) is used to maximise output from photovoltaic (PV) stations and wind farms during times of variable weather. The Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) method and the FOPID control strategy used by the hybrid power system are evaluated for their adaptability to environmental variables such as the availability of solar and wind energy. The simulations indicate that the MPPT approach can get the highest possible power out of the hybrid system is 1. What's more, the FOPID control approach maintains a constant grid voltage regardless of external factors or the quantity of power produced by the hybrid system.
