Development of A Web Map Quality Evaluation Framework
Web maps have become the primary means of disseminating geospatial data to a broad audience, but their quality often goes unassessed. Comparing maps from various providers typically requires extensive data downloads, database storage, and spatial analysis, with proprietary data often inaccessible. To address these challenges, a client-side web application has been developed. It allows users to compare web maps from multiple sources, using image processing to convert image tile data into vector formats for near real-time spatial data quality analysis.
