Radiation Pattern Characterization of a 300 GHz Transceiver Installed Outdoor Using Motorized Pan-Tilt Heads

We measured radiation patterns of a 300 GHz outdoor transceiver at a distance of 43 m based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and compared them with the results of antenna near-field measurement. The results indicate that near-field measurements can serve as reliable estimators of the angular sensitivity of transceivers.

Abstract

We measured radiation patterns of a 300 GHz outdoor transceiver at a distance of 43 m based on received signal strength indicator (RSSI) and compared them with the results of antenna near-field measurement. The results indicate that near-field measurements can serve as reliable estimators of the angular sensitivity of transceivers.
