Development of Broadband Octagonal Complement Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR) for 5G Communication
For 5G microwave applications, a metamaterial employing a Complement Split-Ring Resonator (CSRR) is being constructed and investigated in this work. The electrical length and coupling impact of the design is improved by connecting three split-ring resonators (SRR) in the shape of an octagonal. Refractive index, permeability, and effective permittivity extraction are influenced by the CSRR. The unit cell, which is printed on FR4 material, has a dimension of 7.5×7.5 mm2. This paper also investigates a 2×2 array structure. The double negative area of 3-6.4 GHz is present in the unit cell. The suggested CSSR design is effective and compact, as indicated by the effective medium ratio of 7.8. The suggested metamaterial's appropriateness for realistic 5G microwave applications is indicated by its small size, effective factors, and effective medium ratio rate.
