Backstepping control for a boost converter
The paper presents an application of a backstepping method to control a boost converter operating in a continuous current conduction mode, and there are two differential equations for the inductor current and output capacitor voltage describing the boost converter. A proposed control law for both current and voltage loops is presented. The main advantage of this control method is that it uses a scalar equation instead of a vector, unlike nonlinear control methods. The simulation results are given to validate the control method.
