Analyzing Appliance Status in Small Residences Through Smart Meter Data
A smart meter in a small residential area is a valuable device that can analyze energy consumption in attributes. This study presents an analysis and experimental results that focus on analyzing the operating status of each small residential appliance using data from smart meters installed in small residential buildings. This method involves collecting the power (P) and power factor (PF) measurements of electrical appliances obtained from these smart meters, which are then converted into active power (P) and reactive power (Q) for use in determining the type of individual electrical appliances. Modular search tables and other techniques are used to analyze the status of electrical appliances. It emphasizes the simplicity of calculation and the size of the search table suitable for applying microcontrollers in smart meters. This work compares an experimental analysis of complete and modular search tables and a multi-entry conditional search for different types of residential appliances, indicating the differences in use and limitations. According to the experimental analysis, the use of multi-tables significantly reduces the amount of data space compared to the use of full search tables, and the use of multi-tables requires multi-point searches to increase productivity.
