Self-Heterodyne Measurement of Terahertz Waves by Electro-Optic Detection Using Optical Combs

We have demonstrated self-heterodyne measurement of THz waves using optical combs. By using a chirped optical carrier extracted from an optical comb for difference frequency generation and electro-optic detection, self-heterodyne measurement of THz signals was demonstrated.

Abstract

We have demonstrated self-heterodyne measurement of THz waves using optical combs. By using a chirped optical carrier extracted from an optical comb for difference frequency generation and electro-optic detection, self-heterodyne measurement of THz signals was demonstrated.
