Subterranean Guardian: Tunnel Safety and soil-Borne Emergency Data Transfer

Subterranean Guardian addresses the drawbacks of existing tunnel safety systems by delivering real-time monitoring and emergency response in minutes. Existing systems are frequently slow, rely on limited data, lack exact geolocation, and provide responders with delayed notifications. To address these problems, the proposed system incorporates IoT, Arduino-based sensors, GPS tracking, vibration sensors, and a soil stability monitor. These can aid in continuous data collecting and real-time alerts, as well as accurate identification of seismic events and soil instability locations, allowing for quick response to seismic occurrences and soil instability. According to the results, regular feedback improves response time (maximum 84% faster), data accuracy (98% maximum detection rate), and user satisfaction (669% maximum improvement of soil stability alerts). It is the factor that renders the system more dependable, efficient, and proactive, resulting in improved tunnel safety and reduced risks to workers and infrastructure.
