Design and Performance Evaluation of MIMO Systems for Next Generation Wireless Networks
The need for wireless communication has increased significantly in recent years. Despite the enhanced capabilities of Fifth Generation (5G) communication systems compared to Fourth Generation (4G) systems, they will be unable to meet the escalating demand and the needs of novel applications. Consequently, Sixth Generation (6G) Networks are anticipated to provide extensive connection and ensure improvements in performance and quality of service for all customers. This research examines the performance analysis of 16 QAM/QPSK in a multiple input multiple output (MIMO) system under diverse antenna designs and signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) situations, emphasizing its prospective use in 6G networks. Key performance parameters, such as bit error rate, capacity, throughput, and spectral efficiency, are assessed under both ideal (noise-free) and practical (noisy) settings. The findings demonstrate that massive MIMO systems, especially those equipped with extensive antenna arrays, provide considerable benefits regarding capacity and throughput, even amongst noise interference. The results illustrate the feasibility of massive MIMO for forthcoming 6G networks, where high capacity, low latency and dependable communication are essential prerequisites.
