Multi-Criteria Model for Assessing the Effectiveness of Monitoring Parameters of Automated Process Control Systems

The article is devoted to a multi-criteria model for assessing informative parameters at control points of an industrial system. The results of calculations of the proposed model help to make decisions on the need to improve the parameters of monitoring system segments. Methods for collecting control data from an automated process control system and methods for obtaining several weighted characteristics for each process parameter are described. These characteristics show the importance of the parameter from one of the points of view. Based on these, the total weight of information content for all parameters is calculated. Total weight is then used to decide the need to improve the collection of control data from the automated process control system for each of the system zones. Some possible improvements to the proposed model are also suggested.
