Analyzing Public Feedback on Urban Infrastructure Projects
Infrastructure development in the urban areas greatly reflects people’s lifestyles, and this hence calls for serious consideration with the public opinion. This study develops an NLP strategy to explore the public attitudes toward urban infrastructures using analytical tools including sentiment analysis, topic modeling, and fuzzy set theory. That is why mass social data processing can provide an experience of capturing public mood, assessing the dynamic reliability of opinions, and combining these results to provide a complete picture of public opinion regarding various urban infrastructure projects. This method helps to get the big picture of public views, assessing the support it can offer urban planning and policy-making processes is crucial since numerous complaints and opinions from citizens reflect a general need and preference.
