Research on High Voltage Safety Risk Prediction Model on Ships Using Artificial Neural Networks and Virtual Reality Technology

Currently, high-voltage electrical systems are used on ships to increase the ability to transport goods and reduce environmental emissions. High-voltage electrical equipment can cause danger when crew members work and come into contact. Therefore, training and coaching crew members with essential knowledge and skills is necessary to work with this voltage level. This paper presents a model of testing actual flashover voltage under the environment on ships based on the TERCO test kit. A neural network (ANN) model was also developed for flashover voltage. Finally, a high-voltage electrical safety simulation system is built using virtual reality technology and the Unity 3D platform. The research results show that it meets the essential electrical safety training criteria for modern maritime crew members.
