Improving Artificial English Academic Paper Summarization employing Cutting-Edge Transformer Models
English Academic Paper Summarization entails the process of converting certain scholarly document into summarized but coherent overviews where/profiles of data and/or relationships in the original texts are conserved. Given the constant increase in scholarly work, literature summarization remains vital for researchers to become aware of new discoveries. Previous studies have mapped summary production with the practical difficulties involved in parsing academic language and document structures, resulting in basic or contextually irrelevant summaries. To address these challenges, we propose to adopt and further optimize the roBERTa transformer model for academic summarization in this study. The approach, which optimizes roBERTa, delivers an amazing level of accuracy of 99.5% coupled with high accuracy and recall metrics suggesting the methods applicability to generate contextually accurate summaries. The model is implemented in Python programming language. With the comprehensive assessment on real-world academic dataset, our study expounds that roBERTa is capable of generating accurate, domain-specific and comprehensive summaries while maintaining such important details and terms. The outcomes help to progress the development of natural language processing in the academic environment and increase the efficiency of knowledge transfer to scholars and industry specialists due to the enhancement of the availability and application of academic research.
