Resilient mmWave Multi-Hop Multi-User Massive Relay MIMO for 6G Networks
This paper explores the challenges associated with mmWave communications, particularly in terms of coverage, blockages, and network resiliency. To address these issues, we propose a multi-user, multi-hop massive relay MIMO system that extends base station coverage through the deployment of a large number of relay stations. Additionally, we present a hybrid user-centric path selection algorithm designed to optimize routing and reduce interference. These innovations enhance the system's robustness against signal blockages and environmental variability, which are critical for improving the resiliency of 6G networks. Through numerical simulations, we compare the performance of the proposed multi-hop system to traditional single-hop configurations, demonstrating substantial improvements in coverage, capacity, and overall system reliability. Our findings confirm that the proposed system offers a promising solution to the limitations of mmWave networks, paving the way for the development of resilient and efficient 6G communication systems.
