Design and Simulation of Plus Shape Antenna with Partial Ground for 6G Applications

This article presents and reviews the design and simulation of advanced antennas beyond 5G and 6G. 5G and other new eras will help connect most existing devices and create a balance between systems and users based on technology, requirement and needs. This requires wider bandwidth and enhanced gain. Therefore, the microwave frequency of 2 to 2.5 THz has been examined for beyond 5G, and above, so the capacity of both can be obtained from here. RT duriod is used as a low-frequency and high-efficiency substrate, while copper is used as material to build plus shape antennas to achieve high gain. Model simulations have been performed using CST Microwave Studio. This design produces 15.2 dBi using partial ground. At a frequency of 2.09 THz, the S11 parameter is -40.9dB. A similar method has been used to simulate same antenna with complete ground with gain 15.1dBi. Also, microstrip patch antenna over which this plus shape antenna is designed, is giving 14.1 dBi gain with -60.2 dB S11 parameter. Many research papers discuss the evolution of the technology beyond 5G and 6G. The pros and cons of the design are also discussed. Bandwidth increased from 0.01 THz to 0.02 THz. As with many of the models discussed in section 1 and 2, the novelty of this form is the simplicity of design, ease of manufacture, reduction of loss due to lack of clearance, and availability of handling and basic equipment.
