Comparative Analysis of Different Operational Logic Gates for Cutting-Edge Technology
This paper presents a comparative investigation of various types of logic operation based on CMOS technology at 45 nm. In order to demonstrate the performance of various operational logic circuits, this paper presents a detailed investigation of Adder circuits such as ripple carry adder (RCA), carry select adder (CSA), carry-lookahead adder (CLA), and Brent-Kung adder (BKA) in terms of power dissipation, delay, and power-delay product (PDP). Moreover, the implementation of various adders has been carried out using optimized physical parameters that have a significant impact on the performance of integrated circuits. The proposed methodology combines circuit modeling and simulation to accurately estimate performance. A validation has been performed through case studies against different types of adder circuits such as RCA, CSA, CLA, and BKA. The results demonstrate that the BKA achieves 19.04% faster delay and 60.73% better power efficiency than the RCA, highlighting its superior performance. Moreover, the effectiveness and accuracy of the methodology are demonstrated for various logic operations. The results further emphasize that the precise estimation and optimization of the performance and power consumption of complex circuits is crucial in low-power applications.
