Switching Study of Dual Two-Level Three-Phase VSI for Three-Level Action
Inverters are the most frequently used power electronics devices for a variable voltage and frequency supply. With multi-level inverter networks, multi-level converters have gained widespread attention. It is now possible to attain high safety voltages with lesser harmonics due to improvements in power electronics technology. Internal switching in the inverters might be one cause of output voltage harmonics. Techniques for PWM were established for two-level (2-L) three-phase VSI, but SVPWM is utilized nowadays due to its easier implementation in digital and better utilization of dc buses. In this study paper, the two switching sequences of a three-phase double inverter system for the operation of 3-Level (3-L) are compared. The performance of the output phasing voltages is assessed on total harmonic distortion. This comparison is validated for 3-L action as well as simulation results using a full SIMULINK model for 3-phases VSI.
