Algorithmic Optimization of Coupon Pooling Application: A Machine Learning Perspective
The accumulation of unused coupons poses a significant challenge in the modern era, driven by technological advancements and growing environmental consciousness. This paper presents the Coupon Pooling App, a platform enabling users to buy and sell coupons. The app leverages Optical Character Recognition (OCR) technology to extract essential details such as coupon codes, expiry dates, and categories, and employs machine learning algorithms to power its recommendation system—a central focus of this study. By utilizing OCR-extracted data, the app generates personalized coupon suggestions, addressing the issue of wasted coupons while unlocking their latent value. This innovation promotes resource efficiency, supports sustainability, and enhances practical savings.
