Permanent Magnet Magnetization Model Considering Impulse Duration and Its Experimental Validation

This paper proposes a magnetization model for permanent magnets, which is based on the Landau-Lifshitz-Gilbert (LLG) equation and reflects the physical process of magnetization from the perspective of magnetic domain magnetization vectors. The main innovation lies in incorporating the time dimension, indicating that the magnetization effect is jointly determined by the pulsed magnetic field strength, duration, and distribution. Using the capacitor bank discharge method, the charging and magnetization system along with magnetization coils is designed. The experiments explored the effects of different magnetic field strengths and pulse duration on the magnetization effect. The results indicate that the magnetization curve of the sample is influenced by the pulse duration, with a corresponding inflection point in time. Before this inflection point, the remanence of the sample increases linearly with time at a rate of approximately 65 mT/ms. After the inflection point, further increasing the pulse duration does not result in an increase in remanence.
