Height Prediction Model for Triple Wave Point of Near-Earth Explosion Based on Dimensional Analysis

The height of the triple wave point directly affects the measurement results of shock wave pressure in near-ground explosion of ammunition. It is crucial to clarify the height of the triple wave point under different explosion conditions for improving the accuracy of shock wave pressure measurement. In this study, AUTODYN was used to carry out finite element numerical simulation of the influence of different TNT mass, length-diameter ratio, detonation height and detonation point position height on the shock wave pressure propagation law, and clearly analyzed the influence of various factors on the height of the three wave points. By applying the similarity law of explosions and dimensional analysis methods, a prediction model for the height of the triple wave point is established. It considers the effects of explosive radius, detonation height, and burst distance on the height of the triple wave point, and possesses clear physical significance. Finally, experimental tests were conducted under typical explosion conditions, and triple wave point height data were obtained using schlieren photography technology, which verified that the calculation accuracy of the model is better than 95.4%. The prediction model constructed in this study can well reflect the variation law of the height of the triple wave point under different explosion conditions, and the calculation results of the triple wave point can provide scientific and reliable data support and theoretical guidance for the analysis of the pressure propagation law of the shock wave, the layout of the measuring points and the design of the test scheme, which has significant engineering application value.
