Spontaneous Mirror Symmetry Breaking in Two-Step Nucleation of an Organopalladium(II) Reaction-Crystallization System
Homochiral crystals of a dinuclear cyclometalated palladium(II) diarylacetylide complex were grown out from an initially achiral reaction-crystallization system, wherein we have been able to identify that the spontaneous mirror symmetry breaking (SMSB) occurred in the supersaturation phase of a two-step nucleation period.
