VERBALIZATION OF THE CONCEPT «ROAD» IN THE TEXTS OF RADIO DICTANTS OF NATIONAL UNITY

The article defines the structure and content of the concept «road» based on the material of the texts of the radio dictations of national unity (2000–2024); defines the cognitive sectors of the basic layer, near and far periphery (interpretative layer) of the concept «road» based on integral and differential cognitive signs; characterizes the means of objectification and traces the ways of profiling the concept «road». It is established that in the texts of the All-Ukrainian Radio Dictation of National Unity – annual action of unity for the Ukrainian nation, patriotic narratives are increasingly emphasized, which are verbalized through an extensive system of linguistic means, partly with a wide conceptual spectrum and a powerful emotional and expressive connotation, not so much implementing an informative function as fulfilling the pragmatic intention to influence the recipient’s emotional intelligence. The analysis conducted allows to speak about a certain model of describing the road, characterized the Ukrainian consciousness, according to such basic cognitive sectors as: «a strip of land on which people drive and walk», «a place for passage or travel», «being in motion (the process of movement)», «the route of movement and objects of the road», and such peripheral conceptual sectors as: «the subject of the road and its condition», «obstacles on the road and their overcoming», «direction of activity, path of development», «access somewhere, the opportunity to get somewhere» and «distance». As a result, the semantic and functional potential of linguistic means (objectification (primary nomination) and profiling (secondary nomination) of the concept) was revealed. The signs of the image of the road, which are revealed in the texts of radio dictations, are a reflection of the socio-ethnic stereotypes present in the collective and individual consciousness. The prospect of further exploration is to study the verbalization of the concept «road» in Ukrainian travel blogs.
