A EFICÁCIA DAS AUDIÊNCIAS DE CONCILIAÇÃO NOS JUIZADOS ESPECIAIS CÍVEIS DA COMARCA DE MANAUS/AMAZONAS: UMA ANÁLISE CRÍTICA

This article aims to evaluate the effectiveness of conciliation hearings conducted in the Special Civil Courts (SCCs) of the District of Manaus, with a focus on the 11th Court, in accordance with the parameters established by Law No. 9,099/1995. These courts were instituted to ensure access to justice in a free, swift, and simplified manner, particularly for low-complexity claims. The analysis highlights the importance of conciliation as a mechanism for promoting social peace and alleviating the judiciary’s workload. The main objective is to critically examine the performance of the self-compositional model applied within the SCCs. To achieve this, a quali-quantitative methodology was employed, featuring a descriptive and analytical approach grounded in a literature review. The findings reveal that, although the Special Civil Courts are widely used across the country, the conciliation model still faces limitations that demand adjustments and improvements to ensure greater procedural speed, more effective conflict resolution, and broader access to justice. It is therefore concluded that the consolidation of self-compositional practices depends directly on continuous investment in adequate infrastructure, technical training for the professionals involved, and systematic monitoring of the outcomes achieved.
