COMPARAÇÃO DE ENXERTOS PARA RECONSTRUÇÃO DO LIGAMENTO CRUZADO ANTERIOR

The anterior cruciate ligament is one of the main stabilizers of the knee and is vital to the functionality and overall health of the joint. It controls the gliding and rotation of the tibia in relation to the femur, which is vital for both daily and sporting activities. ACL injuries can lead to pain, swelling, instability and reduced quality of life. Post-injury rehabilitation is crucial to regaining knee function and, in some cases, reconstructive surgery may be necessary to restore stability and allow a safe return to activities. Therefore, the selection of graft for ACL reconstruction is an important decision that can affect the success rate of surgery, the time and quality of recovery, the risk of complications and the ability to return to normal sporting activities. It is essential to consider all of these factors in order to customize the choice of graft according to the specific needs and characteristics of the patient. This study aims to compare grafts used for anterior cruciate ligament reconstruction. To this end, a qualitative and quantitative descriptive study was carried out, showing the advantages and disadvantages of each graft during surgery until rehabilitation of the anterior cruciate ligament.
