A case report of non-infectious lymphangitis

Acute lymphangitis is commonly caused by a local infection. It tends to present with expanding erythematous lymphangitic streaking and is generally treated with systemic antibiotics. We present a case of non-infectious lymphangitis which occurred following insect bites that was not responsive to antibiotics but improved with a topical steroid.

Abstract

Acute lymphangitis is commonly caused by a local infection. It tends to present with expanding erythematous lymphangitic streaking and is generally treated with systemic antibiotics. We present a case of non-infectious lymphangitis which occurred following insect bites that was not responsive to antibiotics but improved with a topical steroid.
