Plaque psoriasis masquerading as pemphigus vulgaris treated with risankizumab: a case report
Psoriasis is a very common condition that presents to the dermatology clinic. Many times, psoriasis can be diagnosed by completing a thorough history and physical examination. Occasionally, histology can be utilized to confirm a suspected diagnosis of psoriasis or to rule out other mimickers, such as eczema, allergic contact dermatitis, or cutaneous T-cell lymphoma, among others. Herein, we present the case of a middle-aged gentleman diagnosed with psoriasis, which initially had atypical pemphigus-like findings histologically, who was ultimately treated effectively with risankizumab.
