Regional differences and convergence in the development of higher education in China under artificial intelligence
Under the wave of artificial intelligence development, the improvement and coordinated development of my country's higher education human capital plays an important role in establishing a national unified market and promoting the coordinated development of regional economies. This article uses the entropy method to measure the level of human capital in higher education, examines regional differences through the DAGUM Gini coefficient and its decomposition, and uses the mutation coefficient and spatial panel model to examine convergence characteristics. The research results show that there are significant differences in the human capital levels of China's eight comprehensive economic zones, and intra-regional differences are the main reason for the overall differences, and there is heterogeneity in the convergence trends among comprehensive economic zones. Policy recommendations based on the research results can provide reference for establishing a unified market and promoting coordinated regional development of artificial intelligence.
