Research on social innovation design workshop to improve middle school students innovation literacy from the perspective of innovation literacy theory

The paper is based on the theory of innovation, and literacy explores the role of social innovation design workshops in enhancing the innovation literacy of middle school students. The workshop process combines social work methods and design science methods (combined with AIGC technology) to guide students to explore local culture. The research utilizes the three aspects of innovative personality, innovative thinking, and innovative practice in innovative literacy theory to develop an evaluation framework for middle school students. To begin with, the questionnaire data was obtained through the workshop pre-test and post-test; in the second place, the innovation literacy evaluation index system for students is constructed, with index weights determined by the hierarchical analysis method, and the comprehensive factor ranking is calculated and analyzed by the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. Ultimately, the effects of social innovation design workshops on the innovation literacy of students are analyzed according to the evaluation results. The study reveals that utilizing the intersection of disciplines can work together to promote students collaborative problem-solving and innovation skills, the most important is that social innovation design workshops significantly contribute to the enhancement of students' innovation literacy.
