Artificial Intelligence Based Teaching Reform of C Language with High Proportion of Overseas Students

The internationalization of higher education is the key measures in the strategy of rejuvenating the country through science and education. It is the route one must take to promote the quality and efficiency of higher education. The number of overseas students is one of critical indexes to evaluate the internationalization of higher education. However, with the increasing proportion of overseas students, how to balance the contradiction between personalized and generalized education has become the focus of current curriculum teaching reform. This study selects Jinan University, the highest institution for overseas Chinese in China, as the research location, and treats the C language course for electrical engineering and automation major as a case. The differences in learning foundation and training targets between mainland and overseas students are discussed. Furthermore, a six-step teaching reform framework using artificial intelligence technology is proposed. It not only comprehensively analyzes the key points in teaching, but also uses artificial intelligence technology to compensate the difficulty in meeting students' personalized needs in large courses, which may provide reference for educators and lecturers.
