The Impact of the YOLO Algorithm on Innovations in Teaching Quality Assessment from Smart Classroom of Science and Technology Competition Based Big Data
The big data technology has brought obvious changes in education especially in smart classroom of science and technology competition. This paper explores the application of the YOLO (You Only Look Once) algorithm based on big data, emphasizing its ability to empowering new quality productivity in education. The YOLO algorithm is known for its high efficiency in real-time object detection in the field of computer vision. However there is still room for improvement in the expression recognition and concentration state of multiple people in smart classrooms. This study points out the limitations of existing YOLO object detection algorithms, and proposes a new method that combines the latest YOLO-v11 algorithm named as the YOLO-LY algorithm by us. The method aims to solve the challenges of target detection and improve teaching quality assessment and experimental data come in smart classroom of science and technology competition in the University of Sanya.
