A Study on the Discovery of the Relationship between Patent and Papers from the Perspective of Patent Subjects --- A Case Study on the Topic of Quantum Computing
Based on the perspective of paper-patent correlation, the article analyses the research papers and patents in the field of ‘quantum computing’ based on the Web of Science (WoS) and the Incopat Patent Database. The CiteSpace software is used to analyse the new progress of scientific research in quantum computing. The Incopat database is used to analyse the current status of technological innovations in patents. Then, the two are combined to carry out the analysis of technological theme evolution, which is of particular significance for further discovering the relationship between patented technologies and scientific research. Focusing on relevant publications from 2014 to 2023, this paper develops a search formula for the field, and the analysis not only focuses on trends in quantum computing research but also points out future directions for researchers.
