The directions of adaptation of the Russian agro-industrial complex to changes in Russia's foreign policy and economic course have been established, including strengthening economic relations with friendly countries in the field of trade in products, despite the risks of secondary Western sanctions. The author's classification of the directions of technological provision of food security in Russia has been developed, taking into account the composition of actual and promising state programs to support this area. The analysis of the effectiveness of the use of scientific, technical and financial resources directed to their implementation is carried out. The assessment of the innovation and investment opportunities of Russian agriculture has been carried out, taking into account the actual depreciation of fixed assets, the profitability of products, and the parity of price relations in an extremely tight monetary policy. Recommendations on providing agriculture with human resources are given. The list of the most important tasks of its sovereign innovative development that require a systematic solution in the face of large-scale sanctions is substantiated.
