Managing Sustainable Supply Chain Resilience: A Network Approach
Once a major disaster strikes, supply chains are disrupted in unexpected places, and the production activities of companies come to a standstill. This can cause serious damage not only to the company's customers but also, in some cases, to society as a whole. Such events occur frequently around the world. Researchers worldwide have been searching for answers to what companies should do to build resilient supply chains. It has been about 20 years since supply chain resilience research began in earnest, and it has become clear that collaboration within supply chain networks is the key to achieving resilience. In this paper, we review supply chain resilience research and look at the research trends, especially the research progress based on the network approach. In addition, marketing research that links sustainable supply chain resilience and competitive advantage acquisition will be introduced. Finally, future issues in this research field will be presented. Received: 7 November 2024 / Accepted: 4 April 2025 / Published: 08 May 2025
