Financial Strategies of Enterprises in Conditions of Stock Market Volatility

In the context of growing global financial instability, the issue of how enterprises develop and apply financial strategies to navigate stock market volatility has become particularly relevant. The aim of this study is to investigate the financial strategies employed by the world’s largest and most volatile companies in recent years to strengthen resilience and maintain long-term sustainability. The study applies a mixed-method approach, analyzing stock market data from 2022 to 2025 using reputable financial databases, alongside a qualitative examination of corporate communications and financial reports. A comparative analysis method is used to identify patterns and similarities across selected companies, ensuring a rigorous and reproducible research process. The main hypothesis suggests that proactive capital return strategies, cost management, and strategic refocusing play a central role in moderating stock price fluctuations among large-cap firms. The research methods include secondary data analysis, volatility assessment, financial ratio analysis, and qualitative review of corporate financial disclosures. Through these methods, key financial strategies were identified, systematized, and evaluated, highlighting their effectiveness in reducing market uncertainty and sustaining investor confidence. It was established that the analyzed firms extensively use buybacks, dividends, and expense control measures to stabilize their market positions. The theoretical significance of this research lies in its contribution to the understanding of how financial strategies evolve under modern market pressures. The practical significance lies in offering insights for corporate managers on optimizing financial responses to volatility. The originality of the research is reflected in its synthesis of recent empirical trends and its development of nuanced conclusions on strategic financial management. Future research should explore sector-specific variations and assess the long-term impacts of these strategies. This is an empirical study.
