Análisis del transporte público intracantonal combinado de la Terminal Río Coca: Revisión bibliográfica

This study examines the intra-cantonal transportation system that connects the Río Coca terminal in Quito with the rural parishes of the Tumbaco Zonal Administration, evaluating the factors that affect the mobility of users on long-distance trips from the urban hypercenter of Quito to rural areas. The urbanization dynamics reflected in the population growth rates of these areas are considered. To achieve this, a review of publications between 1990 to 2023 was made, in the Scopus, Web Of Science, and Google Scholar databases, in English, Spanish and French with key words indexed in the UNESCO Thesaurus dictionary. For the analysis, scientometric tools such as Posit Cloud, tree of Science (Tos), Bibliometrix, VOSviewer were used and the inclusion criteria were the population rates between 1990 and 2001, which were significantly high in parishes such as Pifo (5.92 %), Puembo (5.25 %), Yaruquí (5.49 %), Checa (5.89 %) and El Quinche (5.93 %). Additionally, between 2001 and 2010, growth was recorded in Cumbayá (4.45 %). The economic activity of the users was also taken into account. Data such as education, language and race were excluded. Based on this analysis, a model of growth in transport demand was developed, allowing the identification of routes that require the expansion of service areas, as well as current and future congestion points.
