PROTEÇÃO DE DADOS PESSOAIS NO SERVIÇO PÚBLICO: A APLICAÇÃO DA LGPD NA ADMINISTRAÇÃO PÚBLICA
The General Data Protection Law (LGPD), established in Brazil in 2018, aims to primarily strengthen the protection and prevention of privacy for individuals and institutions. With the increasing digital connectivity and the growing exchange of personal information between users and interconnected systems, it becomes essential to implement strategies to ensure the protection of this information. This study aims to analyze the challenges and strategies adopted by the Brazilian public administration for the effective implementation of the LGPD. In the context of public institutions, data is seen as a significant asset, making it essential to create systems to manage vulnerabilities and ensure the proper functioning of these institutions. Data protection becomes even more relevant in the public sector, where sensitive data is frequently handled. The methodology adopted will be a literature review, seeking academic sources and legal documents on the LGPD, information security, and personal data protection. The analysis will be conducted qualitatively, with an emphasis on identifying best practices and challenges in applying the LGPD in the public sector. The expected results include the identification of the main barriers faced by public administrations in implementing the LGPD, as well as the best practices adopted by institutions that successfully adapted to the legislation.
