STUDY OF THE INFLUENCE OF TEMPERATURE ON THE ELASTIC AND THERMAL PROPERTIES OF DIESEL FUEL BY ACOUSTIC METHOD

In the article, we calculated the temperature dependence of the density of winter Arctic diesel fuel, the speed of the ultrasonic wave propagating in it, the coefficients of adiabatic compressibility and volumetric thermal increase, the ratio of heat capacity at constant pressure and volume using experimentally measured parameters. In order to conduct experiments, we have assembled an automated device for determining the temperature dependence of the heat of an elastic shock wave in liquids. The ultrasonic pulsed system consists of a quartz piezoelement with a resonant frequency of 5 MHz, a generator that excites electrical vibrations, an amplifier and a receiver and measuring instruments. We measured the dependence of the density of the studied sample on temperature using a thermometer and an ariometer located inside a special container. To the piezoelement made of Quartz, the generator transmits short high-beam electrical pulses in time. Electrical impulses are converted by a quartz plate into ultrasound waves propagating in the sample under study. The wave pulse, which comes to the reflected piezoelement, is again converted into electrical pulses and transmitted to the pulsed ultrasound system. In our research, we used one piezoelectric element, which produces a power wave, as a source and receiver of an ultrasound wave. Because the creation of quartz plates with the same resonant frequencies caused great technical difficulties. As a result of experimental measurements and theoretical calculations, for the first time we determined and built graphs of the temperature dependence of the density of Arctic diesel oil, the speed of the chase wave in it, the thermal increase and adiabatic coefficients, the ratio of heat capacity at constant pressure to heat capacity at constant volume.
