Preparation and Characterization of Sodium Polyacrylate/Sodium Alginate/Graphene Oxide Conductive Hydrogel Fiber

ABSTRACT The growing demand for flexible electronic devices in diverse applications has driven increased attention to conductive polymer‐based materials. In this study, we fabricated composite hydrogel fibers with excellent conductivity and sensing stability via wet spinning using sodium polyacrylate (PAAS), sodium alginate (SA), and graphene oxide (GO). The effects of polymer mass ratio, conductive particle concentration, and cross‐linker on fiber performance were systematically investigated through orthogonal experiments. Optimal conductivity and elastic modulus were achieved at PAAS/SA = 1:1, CaCl 2 = 3%, and GO = 0.05 g. The intrinsic correlations between morphology/thermal properties (characterized by SEM, FTIR, and TG) and comprehensive performance were elucidated. Electromechanical tests and human motion sensing trials demonstrated excellent sensing sensitivity (GF = 3.17) and stability within a 0% – 100% strain range.
