Sinergi Free the Sea dan Prodi Pendidikan Kristen Anak Usia Dini Sekolah Tinggi Teologi Real Batam: Aksi Bersih Pantai Untuk Masa Depan Laut di Pulau Buluh

Community Service Activities (CSA) in Pulau Buluh by the Early Childhood Christian Education Program of Sekolah Tinggi Teologi REAL Batam collaborated with Free the Sea to raise public awareness about coastal cleanliness. The primary issue identified was the low awareness of the impact of waste on health and marine ecosystems. This PKM adopted a participatory approach through socialization and beach cleanup activities. The community was divided into groups, provided with cleaning tools, and taught to sort plastic waste, fabric, and other materials for further management. As a result, there was an increase in awareness and collective responsibility for environmental preservation. The collaboration with Free the Sea also demonstrated that plastic waste can be processed into valuable resources. It is hoped that this activity will not only drive sustainable positive change but also inspire similar movements in other coastal areas, encouraging more communities to care about marine conservation.
