Research on the interrelationship between reliability, risks and safety of water treatment systems
Today, water treatment systems in thermal power plants are an integral part of the technological process, since the quality of the prepared water directly affects the efficiency of boiler and heat exchange equipment. Water used in thermal power must meet strict regulatory requirements, since even minor deviations can lead to corrosion of metal surfaces, scale formation and a decrease in heat exchange efficiency. In order to study the analysis of the relationship between the reliability, risks and safety of operation of water treatment equipment in thermal power plants, it is proposed to develop mathematical models for assessing the reliability of water treatment systems in thermal power plants, which will allow formalizing the processes of failure occurrence, their elimination and impact on the stability and efficiency of water treatment equipment. Analysis of the results obtained showed that the use of mathematical models allows not only to quantitatively assess the reliability of water treatment systems in thermal power plants, but also to identify patterns that determine their durability, stability of operation and level of safety. The calculations confirmed that there is a close relationship between the probability of failure-free operation, failure intensity, mean time without failure and the efficiency of the system as a whole. The results obtained indicate that a significant reduction in the risks of emergency situations can be achieved by increasing the speed of equipment recovery, which directly affects the reduction of downtime, which, in turn, contributes to increasing the overall efficiency of the system, reducing water and energy losses, as well as minimizing the negative impact on the production process. The study also confirmed that the relationship between reliability, risks and safety of the system has a significant impact on its operational characteristics. In particular, systems with a higher level of reliability demonstrate a lower probability of failures, which has a positive effect on the overall efficiency of thermal power enterprises. The proposed mathematical expressions allow predicting the operability of equipment over a certain period of time, assessing the impact of variable parameters on the stability of the system and making informed decisions on its improvement. The analysis confirmed the effectiveness of using mathematical methods to assess the reliability and safety of water treatment systems.
