Experimental and Statistical Modeling the Influence of Temperature Regimes of Asphalt Concrete Mix Production and Volumes of Supplied Protective Gases on the Process of Thermal Oxidative Aging

Statement of the problem. There is a need for a set of experimental data on the effect of changes in the volume of protective gases on the aging of asphalt concrete mixture during mixing and storage in order to optimize technological parameters. In addition, it is necessary to establish the influence of temperature regimes and the relationship of factors. Results. Semi-industrial tests were carried out on a low-power asphalt concrete installation using protective gases during the production of the mixture. Statistical data were obtained reflecting the effect of changes in the volume of supplied gases and temperature conditions on the strength limits and the degree of technological aging of the mixture during mixing and storage. The modeling of processes has been performed. Conclusions. According to the results of experimental statistical and mathematical modeling, it was found that the presence of an inert medium in the conditions of the standard temperature regime for the preparation of asphalt concrete mixture slows down the aging process, at elevated temperatures the influence of the inert medium is already insignificant. In addition, the optimal volumes of supplied protective gases have been determined.
