Production of Anti-slip Tiles by Glaze Surface Roughness Structure Formation

Statement of the problem. The purpose of the scientific article is to produce floor tiles with anti-slip performance by forming microcrystals on the glaze surface during the firing of the tiles by adjusting the composition and proportion of glaze. Results. As a result of adding quartziteite and alumina to the glaze composition and firing, invisible microcrystals are formed on the glaze surface, and non-slip floor tiles with excellent stain resistance and durability are manufactured. This functional floor tile can be widely used in places where there is a lot of contact with water, and it is also highly cost-saving. Conclusion. Quartziteite and alumina were used to form microcrystals on the surface during the firing of glaze to produce tiles with anti-slip function. The friction coefficient of 0.75 was obtained with 5 % quartziteite, 4 % alumina, 35 % natrium feldspar, and 30 % kyanite, which is in line with the international standards. With further research, the production cost can be reduced to 0.3 per cent of the cost of ordinary tiles by replacing these materials with industrial waste.
