Static Analysis of the Load-bearing Framework of the Hybrid Structure

Statement of the problem. The purpose is to develop an improved technique for the static analysis of the load-bearing framework of the hybrid strutted roof structure. The technique is to facilitate the main structural parameters determination at the preliminary design stage. Results. Unified expressions for determining the forces and the bending moments in the structural elements are proposed. The expressions are written in terms of the parameters which allow switching between operational and unit loads, as well as, the pre-stress only, when performing the analysis of the structure. A step-by-step technique for eliminating compressed ties from the design diagram is proposed. Conclusions. In spite of low-stiffness members included, the structure under investigation does not exhibit significant geometrically nonlinear behavior at the operational stage. Thus, the flexibility method of the linear structural mechanics is valid for its static analysis. The results of the work can be used for optimal design solutions determination, as well as, for the numerical research of the hybrid structures in order to clarify their stress-strain behavior.
