Causality constraints on radiative transfer

The author discusses causality constraints on radiative transfers in hydrodynamics. Causality imposes stringent constraints on the transport coefficients. The author proposes a relativistic hydrodynamical model of radiative transfer, proving that it is causal and covariantly stable, whence it is shown that the transport coefficients are within the so called hydrohedron bounds.

Abstract

The author discusses causality constraints on radiative transfers in hydrodynamics. Causality imposes stringent constraints on the transport coefficients. The author proposes a relativistic hydrodynamical model of radiative transfer, proving that it is causal and covariantly stable, whence it is shown that the transport coefficients are within the so called hydrohedron bounds.
