Synthesis and properties of symmetric glycerol-derived ( E / Z )-1,3-diether-2-alkenes

Glycerol is a renewable and versatile molecule that can be functionalized in a variety of ways. In this work, we demonstrate conversion of molecules with glycerol skeletons to symmetric diether-alkenes.
