A new PWM modulation for three-phase isolated matrix modular AC-DC converter
This paper presents a new design of bi-directional three-phase AC-DC converter using matrix isolation technology. The input phase frequency commutation rectifier of each phase module, and the inverter phase high-frequency phase shift modulation of the phase module generate quasi-square wave voltage. The new modulation strategy can complete the power bidirectional flow, and achieve seamless and accurate power control through phase shift control. It is worth noting that the matrix converter adopts the structure without electrolytic capacitor, which improves the power density and reliability of the system. Finally, the analysis of the simulation results is given to prove the correctness of the theoretical analysis.
